Five Tips to get the most out of the morning meal.
- Sit down to eat. No time to do so at home? Take along something portable that you can eat at your desk.
- Include lean protein. If you eat only refined carbohydrates like a scone or bagel, you'll likely be hungry again in two hours. Protein is digested at a slower rate than carbohydrates, which keeps blood sugar levels steady and helps you fell satisfied longer. Good choices: skim milk, low-fat yogurt, soy or turkey sausage, low-fat cheese or eggs.
- Fill up with fibre. Whole-grain breads and cereals that provide at least 4 grams of fibre per serving are best. Boost it with a serving of fruit.
- Pack it with nutrients. An orange, 1 cup of skim milk and a whole wheat English muffin spread with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter supplies 42 percent of the Daily Value for fibre, 49 percent for calcium and 163 percent vitamin C.
- Sweet tooth. Try a piece of whole grain bread spread with 1 tablespoon fruit preserves instead of a doughnut or muffin.

Warm lemon water in the morning is a great morning drink as you get a good dose of Vitamin C early in the morning. It cleanses and detoxifies your system, thus rejuvenating your skin and bringing a healthy glow. It also aids the digestive system and makes the process of eliminating the waste products from the body easier. It prevents the problem of constipation from taking place by ensuring smooth bowel functions.
Lemon contains a pure form of citric acid which creates an alkalizing effect on our body in spite of being acidic itself. It flushes out excess acids and body toxins and hence helps weight loss.
Tips For Better Body Image

Body beautiful is often a misleading term. Beauty is not so much about fairness and smoothness of skin as it is about the personality of the person concerned. Our positive qualities often outweigh our size and shape. To look beautiful, it is important that we love it and feel comfortable with it. Negative body image can lead to depression and shyness. It is time that we stop criticizing minute details and start praising the assets, blessings and the gift of God. Instead of turning a recluse every time a pimple appears, women must realize their potential of giving life. Doctors agree that most of the eating disorders in women result from comparing themselves to beauty divas on ramps that flaunt not so healthy picture of being 'slim'.
Judge on the fitness of your body, not according to fads, but by your stamina, endurance, strength and comfort. Develop your own style and stop being a beauty and fashion industry victim. Do exercises that you can enjoy - be it jogging, cycling, gardening or dancing. Indulge in any sport that allows movements, not to lose weight but to strengthen your heart, lungs and muscles and give you a break. Diets are helpful in losing weight but only temporarily, so don't put all your focus on them and work around them to have balanced meal and still have all the essential nutrients and proteins that your body needs.
Some fat on hips and thighs is quiet essential for women and give them that feminine shape, so don't loose your sleep over that. Try to improve your body image by looking at yourself like a young child. Treat body with respect. Stop smoking, taking drugs, eat well and exercise within your comfort level. Do not give in to teasing and peer pressure and remember that much of your looks may depend on the ethnicity, heritage and environment in which you live. Idealized men and women body proportions are good enough for seeing but there is much more in world to look forward to than brooding on how to develop or tone those muscles.

Pomegranate juice is full of antioxidants and helps with conditions such as cancer, heart health and may have anti-ageing properties. It is thought that pomegranate juice helps accomplish this by preventing the formation of plaques that can cause arteries to clog. It is also thought that it helps dilate the blood vessels. Because of its effects on blood vessels, it has been thought that pomegranate juice might also prevent erectile dysfunction.
It is also thought that pomegranate juice may help reduce cholesterol by reducing the body's ability to make cholesterol in the liver. Pomegranate juice has also been shown to reduce blood pressure. Finally, there may be evidence from animal studies that pomegranate juice inhibits the growth of cancer cells in prostate and breast cancer.
Body Odour

Body Odour develops about six hours after we sweat. Have two baths daily and change all your clothes. Wear freshly washed clothes and underclothes after bathing. Odour lingers on clothing. Wear only cotton clothes. Bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) is said to prevent body odour. Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply on areas like under the arms. You can also add lemon juice to this paste. Leave on for 10 minutesand wash off with water. Or mix a little baking soda with your talcum powder and apply, especially under the arms, or on the feet. Potato slices can also be rubbed on areas where odour forms easily.
Vinegar is also said to help. Try to get apple cider vinegar. Soak cotton wool pads in it and apply underarms and on feet. Or, you can add it to your bath water and use it as last rinses after your bath.
Ayurveda recommends certain dietary solutions for excessive sweating. Sip ginger tea before and after your meals. Chop fresh ginger root finely and mix with a pinch of salt. Chew a little of this before your meal. Sipping warm water with your meal may also help. Light diet and less spices are advised. Eat smaller meals.
